New York City-based entrepreneur and restauranteur. Thanks to his upbringing in the Andes mountains of Venezuela by a Colombian mother and a Peruvian father, who ran an Italian bakery and an agriculture and livestock farm, Jose Luis was inspired by the opportunities and the excitement of the travel, entrepreneurship, and creativity found in his youth. Coupled with his natural curiosity, tenacity, drive, and vivacious personality, Jose Luis moved to Peru for five years to go to culinary school and to launch his first business venture before moving to the United States in 2012.

With over 20 years running businesses, events, and experiences in the US, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East, Jose Luis has expertise in the restaurant and hospitality industry; marketing strategy; business development, and management, coaching, and teambuilding. His investments and businesses have been featured in flagship publications and media outlets like the New York Times, Forbes, the Michelin Guide, and Univision. He was recognized with an El Award by El Diario for his contributions to the Latino community in 2022 and as Chef of the Year in 2017 by Sumaq.
